
Today's scheduled track meets at both Platte and Hanson have been cancelled.

The PK-6 Spring Concert is Monday, May 5, at 7:00 pm. All Elementary students are asked to be in their classrooms by 6:50 pm. 5th and 6th grade band students are asked to be in the music room at 6:40 pm. We are asking that all students be dressed in appropriate concert attire. No jeans or sweatpants please.

The Ethan Educators Rising Chapter is hosting a puzzle competition at the Ethan Legion Hall on Friday, May 2nd. Come for a fun night of puzzling with friends and family and compete to win cash prizes! All profits will benefit the chapter’s members attending National Conference this summer. The PreK–4th grade teachers are excited to host a special “Safety Day” for our students on the afternoon of May 15th. Throughout the afternoon, students will rotate through a variety of engaging stations focused on important summer safety topics such as bike safety, pedestrian awareness, water safety, and more.
We’re planning a fun, educational day—and we’d love your support! We are currently looking for the following donations:
12 dozen large popsicles
200 assorted fun-size candy bars or candies
In addition, we’re hoping to offer some safety-themed giveaways at the end of the event. Some of the items we’re looking to collect include:
Life jackets (4)
Bikes (2–4)
Sunscreen
Bike lights
Goggles
Bike helmets

The young band students performed in the 5th/6th Grade Instrumental contest yesterday. We received 22 Superior and 3 Excellent Ratings! Wonderful Job!
We were also fortunate enough to have Mr. VanPeursem, SDMEA Young Band Director of the Year, work with all of our bands!

Central Electric Cooperative is pleased to announce its 2025 scholarship recipients. Scholarships are awarded each year to dependent children of cooperative members to help pay for post-secondary education. The District 4 Davison County $500 scholars are Ethan High School seniors Hunter Dean and Cole Hinckley. Dean is the son of Ray and Randa Dean of rural Mitchell, and he plans to study History Education at Dakota Wesleyan University (DWU). Hinckley is the son of Ryan and Devon Hinckley of rural Ethan, and he plans to study Business at Mitchell Technical College (MTC).



For those attending today’s 5th & 6th grade band performances: the judge will only be working with the full band. We kindly ask that parents and grandparents attend just the individual and duet performances. Thank you for your understanding!
