Thank you for the generous donations for the NHS/CHS food drive, we collected over 710 pounds of food to donate to the local food pantry. The winning classes are first grade and the sophomore class!

“The Book Blast is going strong as we approach these last few days of the event. The student with the highest dollar amount of contributions from each grade level will be awarded a $100 Book Blast shopping spree. On top of that, the student with the highest dollar amount of contributions in the school will be awarded an additional $100 shopping spree. So, one student winner will be going home with a total of $200 in Book Blast shopping sprees!”

Here we go again! With a potential snowstorm approaching the area again, computers will be sent home with students in grades K-12th grade today. If we do not have classes on any of the next few days, we will be e-learning like we have done previously this year. Students will be sent home with their expectations today. Students will be expected to check in with their teacher for attendance purposes. Teacher will also be utilizing ZOOM or Google Meet to connect with their students. If you are having any issues with getting connected, please be sure to contact your teacher by phone or email. Anyone failing to be in contact with their teacher will be counted absent for the day. No joke! Today is Ethan’s Prom. The juniors have planned, prepped, and prepared for this day to be memorable and fun. A few notes about today’s activities. Professional pictures will be taken on the stage starting at 5:30 PM. Family and friends are highly encouraged to take pictures in the new gym utilizing a beautiful backdrop designed by Angie Klock. Please use the west hallway to access the south gym. The dance will go from 8 PM to 11 PM followed by the after-prom activities. Wishing all a fantastic and memorable time!

The Music contest for 5th - 8th grade students has been rescheduled to Monday, April 10.

The 5th - 8th grade students will NOT be heading to the Armour Music Contest tomorrow due to the forecast of snow and heavy winds. The contest will be made up at a later date. Please stay tuned for more information regarding this event.

“Land ho! Our 3rd Book Blast Treasure Chest stuffed with cash winner has found the loot today. Congratulations, Mason Wipf! We have more prizes to be awarded with our Book Blast event! Congratulations to the Student Council Members who attended the Convention in Rapid City of over 1,500 people attending. Ethan received Outstanding Student Council, Brody Riggs and Kayleigh Royston received All-State Student Council, Drake Gustafson and Avery Mueller were elected parliamentarian and treasurer for the James River Region, and Rylan Gerlach and Aiden Riggs won the Bags tournament.

Congratulations to all Prairie Reader participants! You worked SO hard, and I am so proud of you! Also, THANK YOU to all of those involved with coaching, reading books, writing questions, volunteering time, and bringing snacks for the kids.
