IMPORTANT INFO TO PARENTS! Ethan's annual student assessments will take place April 6 - May 7. This involves students in grades 3-8 and Juniors. Ethan School is accountable to make sure every student takes their assessments. This is the only time we are able to conduct the testing and strongly encourage families to plan appointments and vacations around these dates. Contact Mr. Norton or Mr. Hawkins with any questions.
On Thursday, the Girls BBall team takes on Colman-Egan @7:30pm in the Huron Arena. There are Covid restrictions for the game. Masks are REQUIRED, but attendance is not limited. All Ethan students should sit behind the Ethan Girls' bench. We hope to see you all there, and please respect/follow Huron Arena's guidelines. Thanks!

We are excited to host our Girls BBall region game Tuesday night @7:00. Passes will not be accepted and the cost is Adult:$6, Student:$4. The game will be live streamed on our Ethan Rustlers Live youtube channel and available through the NFHS network.
Attention all parents of potential softball/baseball players! If your daughter/son is interested in playing this summer, please fill out the enrollment form. It is $45 for baseball and $30 for softball. If you need another form, email Jennifer.Klumb@k12.sd.us. Return forms and payment to Mrs. Klumb in the preschool room by March 1 at the latest! Thanks!
We have contacted our website provider and made some updates to our calling list. It seems that many people were not contacted on Monday evening when I announced our late start for Tuesday morning. I will be sending out a phone message this evening at 7:00 PM to check and see if our updates have taken effect. We have also corrected the Caller ID so it should show the call coming from Ethan, SD. If you do not receive this phone message, please contact the school so we make changes to your profile, if necessary.

For the Basketball Doubleheader in the Corn Palace tomorrow, both JV games will be played @5:15, with the girls in the armory and the boys on the main floor. Masks are encouraged and there is plenty of space to spread out. Ethan Rustlers Live will not be live streaming, but TDA will be on their YouTube channel.

We have had several people contact us to let us know that they did not receive a phone call from the school last night for this mornings' late start. Our calling system grabs phone numbers directly from the Infinite Campus portal when calling to deliver a message. If your home number or cell number is not in our system, you will not receive a phone call from the school. If you did not receive a phone call and would like a phone number added to our Infinite Campus system, please call the school so we can add your number. You could email that information to us as well.
In the future, you will not receive a call from Arkansas, sorry about the confusion! Our website host has changed the Caller ID to reflect Ethan School. And one more piece of information, if we need to start late again, due to inclement weather, we will begin classes at 10:00 AM, not 10:15 AM.

CELEBRATING 100th Day of School Today! We are especially excited this year to say we made it 100 days with kids being in the classrooms!!
Unfortunately, due to injuries for Mitchell Christian the Boys JV and Girls JV games scheduled for Thursday will not be played. We will begin the night with Girls Varsity @ 6:30 and Boys Varsity to follow.
For today's doubleheader in Canistota; Girls JV(4:00), Boys JV (5:00), Girls Varsity (6:15), Boys Varsity (7:45). Games will be broadcast on the Canistota Hawks youtube channel. There are no attendance limitations, and masks are encouraged, not required. We look forward to seeing those who can make the trip tonight, and thank you to those who still support from home!
REMINDER! The Ethan After Prom Committee will be selling walking tacos for $5.00. They will also be selling BINGO cards to be played during the games. Proceeds from both will go towards after prom.
There will also be Rustler apparel available for purchase or order during the varsity games.
Today we're finally back for our first home basketball games since before xmas break! The schedule starts a little earlier than normal, and the boys varsity game is before the girls varsity tonight. Also, this is our first home game were there is no limiting of attendance. We do expect more people at tonight's game, and even though masks are not mandatory, the coaches and players would like encourage the fans to please distance where possible, and wear a mask so that we do everything we can to keep this policy as is and the season continuing as smoothly as possible!
