Good Afternoon,
We were notified today that one of our students has tested positive for COVID-19. We have talked with all persons that we have deemed to be a close contact, and contacted their parents as well. Once again we are reminding all parents, that if your student is not feeling well, please keep them home. We have also talked with our students today to remind them of that same information. Unfortunately, COVID-19 is still present in our society, and we want to do all we can to keep our kids in school, and keep the coronavirus out!

Two items need to be completed for your student as soon as possible. First fill out the online enrollment registration this is for ALL students and fill out all forms attached in the Welcome Letter. Our 5th grade band night will be Tuesday, August 24 at 7:00 pm in the music room at the Ethan School. We will be discussing instrument prices, rental, and give the students an opportunity to play the different instruments. A parent or guardian must attend the band night with the student. Please ask your student to see the letter that was sent home. If you cannot attend band night and would like to participate in the band program, please email Mrs. Manchester at molly.manchester@k12.sd.us or call 605-227-4211.
From Kitchen Staff:
As we begin another school year the kitchen staff are preparing the menus and ordering foods/ingredients for the meal plans. Due to COVID and work force shortages, we were informed by our suppliers that we may not be getting all our orders filled as requested. The companies are having problems getting the items for their shelves as well as having a hard time finding drivers to fill the positions needed. With that in mind, we will continue to get the menus out to you like we have in the past, but please be aware that there may be some last-minute changes. We will attempt to get notices out to you, however, there are going to be times that we may need to substitute at the last minute. Thanks in advance for your understanding!
Just a reminder for all parents and guardians, our school doors will open at 7:45 AM. Looking forward to seeing all of the kids back in the building again!!!
Varsity and Junior High football practice will move to Bridgewater this week. The bus will leave at 3:15 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The bus will leave immediately after school on Thursday and there will be no JH practice on Friday.
Varsity and Junior High Football team and individual pictures will be taken this Friday, August 13th, at the beginning of football practice. Picture forms will be sent home with all JH and Varsity football players today. Please send forms back with your players, with payment, on Friday.
