Ethan Community -
If you haven’t already heard the Ethan School has received the 2022 National Blue Ribbon Award. Our students and staff have worked so hard to earn this amazing blue ribbon and this is a very exciting time for the kids, staff, administration, and community. Since this is such an accomplishment for everyone we would like to celebrate and make everyone feel extra special! We are hoping to do this celebration with our entire school K-12 which averages about 290 kids. As you well know, supplies, t-shirts, treats, etc. can add up. If you are wanting to donate to our celebration please contact Mary Beyer in the business office as to how you can help! Thank you for your continued support! It is with your kindness, support, and generosity that we are able to do great things with our kids!

Parents! Next week is homecoming week, and the student council has scheduled class activities and games throughout the week include dodgeball, capture the flag, powderpuff football, and boys volleyball. If you do not want your student to participate in these activities please contact Mr. Roth or the school. Thank you, and make sure that you join in the fun by helping with dress up days and the parade.

Congratulations to the Ethan School District and their recent national honors. It was announced this morning that the Ethan School District has been named a 2022 National Blue Ribbon School!!!!! Specifically, our Elementary School is being recognized as an Exemplary High-Performing school. Also, the website Niche has recently ranked the Ethan School District as the 12th best school district in South Dakota and U.S. News & World Report has recently recognized our high school as being one of the best in South Dakota as well as one of the best in the nation!!!! Great things like this don't just happen, they happen when a school district has great support from their parents and community members. They happen when you have a school board that is dedicated to focusing on what is best for the students and staff of the district. And of course, it would never happen without our amazing teachers and support staff and the greatest students in the state! I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am of the community of Ethan, our parents, my school board members, every employee of the Ethan School District, and all of my kids! Let's continue to do great things together, and above all, let's continue to remain ETHAN STRONG!
Mr. Hawkins

TONIGHT during volleyball game - FFA is selling Walking Tacos for $5.00 to raise money for Nationals!!!

Parents - If your child participated in today's EZ ID program sponsored by the Mitchell Moose Lodge, your student's jump drive has been placed in an envelope with their name on it and given to their teacher. To ensure that the information on those drives do not end up in the wrong hands, they MUST be picked up by a parent. Please stop in after school or make arrangements with your student's teacher to stop by and pick them up whenever it is convenient for you. Thank you! Mr. Hawkins

On Wednesday, the Freshman attended the Freshman Impact program in Alexandria with other local schools. Students were placed in groups and learned about topics such as healthy relationships, internet safety, mental health wellness, drug and alcohol prevention, and many more! This group of kids represented Ethan well!

The Junior class is fundraising for prom expenses and will be painting the letter “E” on driveways to show Rustler spirit! The set date for the painting is this Sunday, September 18th. If you want the “E” painted on your driveway it will cost $25, but if you already have one and just want it touched up it will cost $10. Comment on the School’s Facebook post or email Avery Mueller at averymueller5@icloud.com to sign up! Please try to sign up by this Saturday, September 17th with your name and address so we can get an idea of how many people will be wanting one. The students will be going out on Sunday afternoon to do the paintings. Note: later dates may be set as needed and paintings can be done outside of town too!
